2021 Nissan Murano Receives New Features

2021 Nissan Murano Redesign: What to Expect?

There has been a lot of speculation about the 2021 Nissan Murano and whether or not it will be redesigned for the new model year. The Nissan Murano is a midsize crossover that has not seen any major upgrades since 2015. While drivers were hopeful that they would see a complete redesign for the 2021 Nissan Murano, the changes that have been made give the Murano a new look and feel.

What is New for 2021?

Even though the Murano has not been redesigned, the 2021 edition does enjoy a small list of important changes. The most notable changes include a new special edition package as well as the addition of new colors.

There are three new colors that buyers can choose from.

  • Midnight Black
  • Boulder Gray
  • Scarlet Ember

These three new color options are all darker colors that add to the sleek and stylish exterior drivers know and love from the Murano.

The new special edition package is a replacement for the 2020 SV Premium Package. The special edition package is almost exactly the same as the SV Premium Package with a few differences.

  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • Exterior Cameras with a 360 degree reach
  • Faux-leather interior
  • 20-inch wheels

There is a change across all trim levels and that is an upgrade in safety features. In 2020 the Nissan Safety Shield 360 was optional for the lower trim levels and standard for the more premium packages. Now the Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on all of the 2021 Nissan Murano trim levels.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is an award winning safety package that keeps both drivers and passengers, as well as pedestrians and other drivers, as safe as possible on the road. This safety package includes features such as the following.

  • Automatic braking with pedestrian detection
  • High beam assist
  • Blind spot and lane departure warning
  • Rear auto braking
  • Rear cross traffic alert

With such positive changes for the 2021 Nissan Murano, drivers are excited to see what 2022 might hold. There are rumors that a full redesign is coming for this small crossover SUV.

Will the Nissan Murano Be Discontinued?

There is speculation that the Nissan Murano is soon to be discontinued and that the 2021 model is going to be the last one for this crossover SUV. However, that is just pure speculation. While there is no confirmation, either way, there is also speculation that the Nissan Murano will receive a full redesign in the near future. This is what drivers are hoping for.

Fans of the Nissan Murano don’t want to see this model go for good but they would like to see Nissan redesign the SUV and give it a more modern, sleek, and luxurious touch for the models coming after the 2021 model. Nissan has given no indication that the Nissan Murano will be overhauled or discontinued but drivers can hope that a facelift is in the future for this popular midsize crossover.
